Tobin Ellis Demos at London Bar Show
BarMagic Principal Tobin Ellis was invited by Simon Ford of Plymouth Gin to speak and demo on a panel during this year's London Bar Show held at Earl Court. The panel was on American cocktail trends and also included Francesco LaFranconi, Allen Katz, Bridget Albert, David Nepove, and Willy Shine. Ellis spoke about trends in tablesides  and emerging enhancements to VIP bottle service that are popular and lucrative in markets like Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York, and Miami. He also created an impromptu cocktail with a touch of working flair using a Chai Tea infused Cruzan Single Barrel Rum, fresh ginger, fresh lemon sour, egg whites, and Angostura bitters.

Ellis Returns to Food Network
BarMagic principal Tobin Ellis surprised Emmy award-winning Iron Chef and Food Network star Bobby Flay in Miami as part of Food Network’s Throwdown with Bobby Flay Reunion Special. After being ambushed in 2006 by Chef Flay and not allowed to compete with any of his signature recipes, Ellis was given his due in a rematch that will be televised nationally at 10pm ET/PT on Sunday, May 25th on Food Network. This will be Ellis’ 7th major appearance on Food Network since 2000. Ellis has also appeared daily on the Food Network as part of several network promotional commercials for the past three years and won Best Drink on The Food Network Challenge in 2006. Ellis has also appeared on E! Entertainment Television, A&E, Bravo, ABC, CBS, USA, Fine Living, UPN, and The Travel Channel.

BarMagic's John Hogan has recipe published in Cocktail Book
BarMagic's John Hogan will have his recipe for the "Norwegian Ice" which was placed at The Greenbrier Resort published in a book of Absolut Cocktails later this year. The drink is made with Absolut Pears, Lingonberry Puree, fresh lemon sour which is poured over a hand-carved iceberg and garnished with a gooseberry pod. Hogan is a former winner of the 10-Cane Rum's Most Wanted Bartender Contest and has appeared on the cover of Nightclub &Bar Magazine for his work.

BarMagic sells 60,000 Drinks for Outback Steakhouses
Outback Steakhouses recently rolled out a BarMagic drink feature nationally on its menu and sold 60,000 of them during the month of February. The drink created by BarMagic's Christian Self features X-Rated Fusion Liqueur, Orgeat, and fresh strawberries. BarMagic has been designing drink features for hotels, resorts, casinos, casual dining chains, nightclubs, independents, television, magazines, and special events since 1997.

BarMagic Caters Academy of Arts Party in Honolulu
BarMagic’s Christian Self and Jen Buxbaum brought Molecular Cocktails to Hawaii during The Honolulu Academy of Arts Starlight Ball wrap party held at Thirtynine Hotel this February. Self and Buxbaum created a number of Molecular Cocktails for this special event including a deconstructed Apple Martini made with spherified apple caviar and also papaya shells filled with lychee-infused Vodka, fresh papaya puree, grapefruit bitters, topped with a lemon-cream air. Critic and blogger San Suzie called the cocktails “truly resplendent” and “dreamy.”
