BarMagic of Las Vegas is a bar & beverage development agency established in 1997 by American barman Tobin Ellis. BarMagic offers a complete range of design, development, training and operational services to hotels, resorts, casinos, restaurant groups, spirits brands, and the media. BarMagic is unique in that we provide experienced consultation in all areas of designing, opening and managing a beverage-focused hospitality business. We specialize in concept development, bar design, and FOH operations.
BarMagic Principal Tobin Ellis has 24 years of bartending, hospitality, and nightlife experience throughout the world. He has trained, opened, and consulted for CSX Hotels, Marriott, Ace Hotel, PUBLIC Hotel, EDITION Hotels, Gaylord Hotels, MGM-Mirage, Winter Park Ski Resort, Caesars Palace, and more. He has helped design, build, and remodel bars from Johannesburg, South Africa to Las Vegas, Nevada and many parts in between. Ellis is a 6-time national bartending and mixology champion (2011 Rum Renaissance Zombie Jamboree Champion, 2010 WSWA Cocktail Competition, 2009 USBG Leblon Caipirinha Competition, 2009 Tales of the Cocktail Barmade Bitters Winner, Food Network Challenge, 2005 Blue Blazer Mixology Champion). Tobin has organized and judged bartending competitions of all styles all over the world since 1997 and has served as a technical advisor and judge for a number of television networks including A&E, Travel Channel, Food Network, and NBC. His work has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the NY Times, The LA Times, The London Sunday Times, The Boston Globe, The Washington Post, The Las Vegas Review Journal and a host of industry publications including Santé, Imbibe, Cheers, Nightclub & Bar, Australian Bartender, Tasting Panel, Bar & Beverage, Class, Flavour, and more.
